This is a Pre Viz (aka Pre-Visual) of a lightning bolt. I've been thinking off and on, for quite awhile, about having lightning in the background. I'm still not sure if I want to do it or not. It would be simple to add them to static shots but to put them into dolly and crane shots would involve a bit of work. If I do go with lightning, I will not go with rain, that would add way too much work. So one of the questions I have to figure out is, would it seems strange to have thunder and lightning but no rain?

      I'll probably do a couple more tests with lightning bolts before I make up my mind. I should create at least one animated shot with the bolt coming down and the clouds lighting up before I make up my mind.
