As I continue to work on the opening
shot, I realize that I can not use any colored lights in the street
lamps. While I think the color looks great in the opening shot, when
I move in for medium shots and close ups, the color becomes distracting.
I still like the look of this shot
and the new version does bring back one of the ideas I was thinking
about from the beginning, to keep the set's color palette as virtually
Black and White. The idea being that Jacko would be the primary source
of color in the whole project. I've even considered actually making
the entire movie in Black and White. (You don't see a lot of computer
generated movies in B&W). However, I did not think Jacko looked
as good as he does in color.
As you have probably noticed, I
have not added any titles to this version. I'm still working out what
I want to do with them.
